this place doesn’t need any more positive reviews—the exorbitant lines outside the door day in and day out are a more impactful endorsement than I could ever give. However, I would be remiss not to add my voice to the choir of people singing Tilly’s praises. This place has me totally hooked—the quality of the bagel alone is top tier. Perfect crust on the outside and perfectly moist on the inside. I tip my hat to Hannah Tillett’s commitment to making the bagels the star of the show and not just a mediocre base for a sandwich, like many midwestern breakfast joints. The rosemary garlic bagel is truly to die for. The spreads and sandwich offerings are delicious as well, but the bagel quality alone sets this place apart. I sacrificed my pride and spent $15 on the crispy potato bagel (price of sandwich + tip) and honestly? each bite was better than the last. I send the friendly, hardworking staff my kudos for producing such a wonderful product and for keeping up with the highly-justified demands of the neighborhood.

Tilly’s is one of my favorite bagel shop in Chicago. The sandwiches come in assorted fun flavors that makes you question how they were able to extract the taste of something in to a bagel so accurately. We got the Caesar Salad bagel and egg and cheese on a Cacio e Pepe bagel. Now, as a New Yorker, I’ve definitely had better bagels BUT what makes this unique is the perfect ratio of cream cheese, fillings and bread. I’ve brought many friends here and made them a fan 🤭

Whenever I visit a new city, I always try to find the best local bagel shop, and luckily Tilly Bagel Shop was right next to my hotel. I ordered the Chicken Caesar on a cheese bagel with tomato cream cheese, and wow—what a unique and delicious combination! The sandwich was HUGE and packed with flavor. My sandwich and orange juice came to about $21, which is definitely on the pricey side, but it was absolutely worth it as a special breakfast treat. Quality ingredients, creative flavors, and generous portions make it stand out. One tip: get there early! This place is always busy, and it’s easy to see why. Looking forward to stopping by again on my next visit. Keep up the great work!

I’ve never had a bagel like this before! Just unbelievable and delicious. Cream cheese was about an inch thick lol i wish i ordered the smoked salmon one now. I had a really good latte as well. Must come try this place

Reviewing as a NYCer who bagels every weekend. Tilly is a cute and comfy bagel shop with extremely pleasant and helpful staff. Atmosphere is relaxed. The bagels are very good quality and tasty. Texture varies on the outside and inside, which is important. Different flavor from NYC bagels, but it is a water thing that is unavoidable (and by no means suggests lesser food). I enjoyed my bagel from start to finish (Cacio el pepe egg and cheese with impossible sausage), which is not something I can always say at even highly rated NYC bagel shops. Easy recommend with a willingness to come back, which is a big deal. I loved the friendliness of staff. Espresso is also good, making this an even stronger recommend.
